Visit Varen Wine Village
The sun-drenched wine village

Attribute
Archaeological excavations prove that Varens was settled as early as the Bronze Age. The village was first documented in 1241 in a deed selling a vineyard. The centuries-old knowledge of winemaking is palpable and tangible throughout the village. Enjoy the excellent Valais wines and specialties. Take a vineyard hike and visit the ten wineries, all of which are family-run businesses.
In winter, the nearby town of Leukerbad offers a wide range of snow sports such as skiing, sledding, winter hiking, and much more. A visit to a thermal spa is recommended for relaxation.
